In my experience, lots of people buy houses and homes that they can’t afford. Or that they have to sell quickly and sell cheap because they can’t afford the price. I think a lot of people are buying houses and homes because they are so cheap, and the reasons they’re buying are often just for show.
It’s the same reason that a lot of people buy boats and other “luxury” objects. They don’t really need them as they’re not really used. They want to impress others by displaying their wealth, and buying a boat is just a way to do that.
This isn’t limited to buying cheap homes. This is more common in buying homes that have been built with questionable designs that show that they cant be built at all. In an ironic twist, people are buying homes with questionable designs for the purpose of fixing them.
What you may be surprised to find is that people are buying homes that have been built with questionable designs because they believe that they can fix them. In some cases, this is just a good way to buy a cheap house, but in other cases it is much more serious. For example, in the Wilkes County home that we are about to show you, the home is not only built with questionable design, but many of the homes that it is built with are in places that no longer exist.
