I think a lot of people get self-esteem issues, but I’ve never seen anyone say that they are a narcissist. Self-esteem is not an attribute that’s fixed, but a constant process that can be improved. And I think you have to do a lot of introspection to improve it. Self-awareness is a process, not an attribute.
Not talking about a specific person, but I do think that a lot of people go into things, especially in the real world, with a sense of false self-esteem. Because we have a tendency to think of ourselves as being in a special class, a special category of people that we all know and love.
