They say they have become the “bad guy” by convincing themselves that they really are the good guy. But there’s one thing self-control does not guarantee. If you’ve controlled yourself, you will not be able to control others.

Self control is one of the most powerful tools we have to control our lives. It can protect us from pain and suffering and it can allow us to live our best life. Some people self-control by being very good at giving up control, but that is not the way to do it. For example, you may have been able to give up control of your money, but not your health. You can give up control of your health, but not your money.

The real key to self-control is not giving up control. It is learning to be more powerful than you were before you gave up control. The real key to self-control is to give up control of yourself, but not of others.
