The concept of continuity psychology is that we tend to think of ourselves as being “on autopilot”. This isn’t a bad thing either.
But if I think about how I am when I think about how I am when I sleep, then I might begin to worry about how I am at the other times in the day. So, I want to understand how I’m affected by sleep.
The idea behind continuity psychology is that we are constantly changing. We are constantly changing throughout the day, from person to person, situation to situation. We can think of this as our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions. For example, how I am at work tends to be different from how I am at home. How I am with my friends at a party tends to be different from how I am with my friends at home.
I want to be able to explain this to my students. I want them to understand what I mean when I say that we are constantly changing. We are constantly changing in our lives, not just at work, but every day at home and work. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions are constantly changing throughout the day and throughout our lives. These habits, routines, impulses, and reactions are all constantly changing, and it means that we can sometimes forget how to control them.
This is one of the many reasons why it’s so important to understand what’s going on in our own minds. That we can change our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions is one of the ways we can become aware of them. So we can take control of our own minds. And it’s not only about our jobs; it’s about all of our lives.
In a nutshell, continuity psychology is the idea that when we’re faced with something new, we tend to forget how to deal with it, because we don’t know how we’ll react. Think about it like this. When you’re walking down the street and you see someone walking towards you, you don’t know what to do, you don’t know how to react.
This is a similar thing, you are walking down the street and see someone walking towards you and you dont know how to react. You dont know how to deal with it, you dont know how to react.
That’s what we’re talking about in The Walk, as the game plays out we see Colt and his friend Mark going through the usual motions of a two-player walker adventure. The game is about the two of them trying to figure out what to do when they see an alien spaceship. But there are major changes in the narrative, as if they were the same two people.
This is what I call “continuity psychology”. When you see a person walking down the street you want to run toward them and say something to them, but if you’re not sure what to say then you’ll walk away. So after about two minutes the two play as they come face to face with the UFO. As they talk to each other, we see them get a new set of “unused” powers.
The first alien ship you look at is still the same alien ship they use in the first episode. Its new look is what gives us the story. At any given time they can be in one of three states: one that looks exactly like the first time; a second time that changes the look of the ship to look like the first time; and a third time that looks completely different. The first time we see them, they have the same guns, the same suit, everything but one.
