Self-Awareness really is self preservation. We are self-aware and it is a great way to maintain self-interest and to not always be self-interested. The self-aware person is the one that is the most alert, aware, and mindful of their surroundings.

Self-interest is an important part of a self-aware person’s approach to life, but in reality, self-interest can be a problem. To me, the most important thing about self-awareness is that it allows you to identify yourself as you are and not as you would like to be. As a result, a person with self-awareness is able to act in a way that is not self-serving.

We know that one of the main functions of self-awareness is to identify what you want yourself to be. This of course, makes it difficult for me to do, but I find that I need to focus on what I want myself to be to make decisions that are not self-serving.

One of the things that is really scary for me is realizing that this ability to act on what you want you to be has the potential to cost you, especially if it ends up being an ego trip. In the case of self-awareness, if you act on what you want to be, then the ego trip could take you down a very dark road.

So self-awareness means “awareness of the ego,” but not only a conscious awareness of your ego. It also means having an awareness of what you want to be. The ego-trip could potentially cost you, because it could cause you to lose control.

The ego trip is a state of mind that is often associated with anger and rage, and that’s why it’s usually a good idea to avoid it. It can be a dangerous state of mind if you let it become an uncontrollable emotional response, or if you forget you’re not in control and that you can act on what you want.

We can’t ask the right question if we aren’t actually doing anything. The right question is one that asks, “How do I know if what I am doing is good for me?” If we are constantly asking ourselves that question then our answers will always be wrong. But as long as we are doing something, then we will always have an answer.

self preservation is an important, yet often overlooked, principle for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In short, it is a process of self-aware living. Self preservation means that we maintain an awareness of our own needs and desires. To be able to self-preserve, we must be continually aware of our habits and routines; we must pay attention to how we work, how we play, and how we sleep.
